Mimi Z Art

There’s something of a mindful focused therapy about drawing, painting, collating. I love any kind of creative project and I also love that other people love my creations.

Here’s some I prepared earlier.

Cleeve House painted for a couple who held their wedding at the venue

A pair of my favourite orange tip butterflies, which only a few people will recognise as a gorgeous gay couple

New Zealand waterfall as a gift for my NZ family who hosted us
Crackington Haven painted for my Cornwall family who love this beach
Double Cone peak of the Remarkable Mountains in New Zealand
Mural painted for my goddaughter who wanted a fox family to represent her own
Deadpool for my love
Quick watercolour before he woke up
Birthday present for a Bowie fan
Commission of another Bowie when someone saw the other one
For my teenage friend who loves owls.
The Window of Thanks, a lockdown community art project I created in Melksham made of 1600 squares and filling a pub window – see the full story here: https://thecomfortzone.blog/2021/02/06/the-window-of-thanks/#more-1073
Morihei Ueshiba, the founder of Aikdo, created for my blackbelt Aikido friend
Wedding present for a pair of colleagues who met through their job in an orange and black themed bar
Leaving present for my friends who were moving away, made out of messages and images from all their friends, in the image of their daughter
Birthday present for Parmy
Commission of a forest in the style of Leonid Afrimov

During lockdown there was a lot of doodling, which turned into cards for people we couldn’t see.

I have a lot of flowers that work like paint too.

Recently I’ve joined Bath Drawing which is a wonderful way to get back into drawing.
